George Kimmerling is an interdisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn. He received a B.F.A. from the Corcoran School of Art, an M.F.A. from the Rhode Island School of Design, and attended the Whitney Museum of Art Independent Study Program. His work has been exhibited at the New Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museum of Modern Art, Momenta Gallery, and more. He was a MacDowell Fellow in 2003.

George Kimmerling worked in the Adams studio.
Given to the MacDowell Association by Margaret Adams of Chicago, the half-timbered, stuccoed Adams Studio was designed by MacDowell Fellow and architect F. Tolles Chamberlin ca. 1914.
