Georgina Klitgaard (1893-1976) was an American artist known for panoramic landscape paintings of scenic New York. She was born in Spuyten Duyvil, New York and studied art at Barnard College and the National Academy of Design. She painted several New Deal era murals in the United States Post Offices and her work was reviewed in The Los Angeles Times and The Art Digest. Klitgaard is a recipient of both MacDowell and Guggenheim Fellowships. She married writer Klay Klitgaard in 1919 and they lived in Bearsville, New York until she passed away in 1976.

Georgina Klitgaard worked in the Mixter studio.
Built in 1927–1930, the Florence Kilpatrick Mixter Studio was funded by its namesake and designed by the architect F. Winsor, Jr., who also designed MacDowell's original Savidge Library in 1925.
