Goma Furikake is a writer, working on many different kinds of projects. During his residency in 2023 Goma finished one short story and worked on two more, worked on his novel, and as they put it, “generally got inspired about art and had a rewarding and productive time.”

Goma Furikake worked in the Wood studio.
Wood Studio, given to the residency program by Mrs. Frederick Trevor Hill, was completed in 1913 in memory of Mrs. Hill’s mother, Helen Ogden Wood. Like Schelling Studio, the building is sided with large, overlapping pieces of hemlock bark.
