Greg Miller He earned an M.A. in English and creative writing from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in English from the University of California, Berkeley. Miller is the author of the collections Iron Wheel (1998), Rib Cage (2001), Mississippi Sudan (2006), and Watch (2009). Wide-ranging in his interests, he has written on southern culture, community, family, and the experiences of Sudanese refugees and held residencies at the Camargo Foundation and the CAMAC Centre d’Art in France. Miller’s poetry frequently deals with both visual art and the life of cities. His scholarly work includes the book George Herbert’s “Holy Patterns”: Reforming Individuals in Community (2007). Miller is a professor of English at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. He is also chair of the Sudanese Ministry Committee of the Episcopal Church, diocese of Mississippi.
