Greg Murr is a visual artist with a background in drawing, painting and print media. His work incorporates patterns and systems found in nature to help us acknowledge phenomena beyond our everyday awareness.

Murr's work has appeared in exhibitions at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Austin Museum of Art and the Arkansas Art Center. He is the recipient of fellowships at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica, the Robert M. MacNamara Foundation, the Morris Graves Foundation and MacDowell. Tamarind Institute and Flatbed Press have additionally published editions of his work.

At MacDowell, he completed a suite of drawings and four new intaglio prints which explore various aspects of consumption with respect to quotidian life.

Greg Murr worked in the Putnam studio.

The Graphics Studio (as it was originally named) was converted to its present use in 1972–1974 through a grant from the Putnam Foundation, and originally served the property as both a power house and pump house.
