Harriet Clark received her B.A. from Stanford University, an M.F.A. from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, and returned to Stanford as a Wallace Stegner Fiction Fellow from 2008 until 2010. She is currently at Stanford as a Jones Lecturer in Creative Writing.
At MacDowell in 2019, she completed final revisions on her first novel, You Won't Go Alone If You Go, which she originally drafted during an earlier MacDowell residency. During her 2023 Fellowship, she was at work on a novel.

Mixter
Harriet Clark worked in the Mixter studio.
Built
in 1927–1930, the Florence Kilpatrick Mixter Studio was funded by
its namesake and designed by the architect F. Winsor, Jr., who also
designed MacDowell's original Savidge Library in 1925. Mixter Studio,
solidly built of yellow and grey-hued granite, once had sweeping
views of Pack Monadnock to the east. The lush forest has now grown…
