Jacob Guajardo is a writer whose fiction has appeared in the Best American Short Stories 2018, journals like Passages North, Hobart, Wigleaf, and elsewhere.
During the first iteration of Virtual MacDowell in 2020 and a subsequent residency onsite, Jacob worked on a short novel set in the 1920s about the Park Hotel in St. Louis, Michigan, where he was born. It's the story of the family who managed the Park Hotel on and off for nearly 50 years.
