Jacob Newberry is from the Mississippi coast but currently lives in Tallahassee, FL He worked on a memoir and a poetry manuscript. Winner of the 2012 Ploughshares Emerging Writers' Contest in Nonfiction, he also spent a year in Jerusalem on a Fulbright Fellowship for poetry. Most importantly, at the time of his residency, he had completed 4/7ths of his life goal of jogging on every continent. (Antarctica's going to be tricky, he admits.)
