Jayne Blankenship is the author of the memoir In the Center of the Night (G.P. Putnam's Sons). At MacDowell she wrote a revised 75-page opening to her novel-in-progress and added 120 scenes to the outline. She also wrote a short story, outlined several new short-short stories, and did a good bit of reading.
