Jennie Litt is a lyricist and singer who works in collaboration with her husband, pianist David Alpher, whom she met when they found themselves in adjacent studios during overlapping MacDowell Fellowships. Jennie and David have released two CDs of original cabaret songs, Two Apples (2014) and Songs for Sapiosexuals (2019), both available from CDBaby, iTunes, etc. They are currently at work on a musical based on the World War II-era adventures of the notorious Mitford sisters. They live in Brooklyn with their daughter Mirabelle.

Van Zorn (formerly Kirby)

Jennie Litt worked in the Van Zorn (formerly Kirby) studio.

Constructed thanks to a bequest from Sarah L. Kirby, Kirby Studio was the last new building to be erected during Mrs. MacDowell’s leadership (1907-1951).
