Jennifer Neal is an American/Australian artist, musician, writer, cook, and occasional standup comedian currently living in Berlin. Her writing has appeared in Playboy, NPR, CNN, Gay Magazine, The Establishment, SBS, Atlas Obscura, and many other titles. Her first novel will be published in the spring of 2022.

While at MacDowell, she developed writing and research around her second novel about a hate crime in Berlin that slowly unravels a close-knit network of artists and activists. She also began the editorial process on her first novel, Notes on Her Color. Jennifer is represented by Milly Reilly at the Jo Unwin Literary Agency in London.
