Jiyoung Yoon is a visual artist focusing on sculpture. She is originally from Seoul, Korea, but currently divided her time between Chicago and New York. The most important aspect of her art practice is to reveal the emotional energy people spend every day just to be social beings. She is currently working on an inflatable sculpture that embodies the efforts and difficulties of people who live “nomadic” lives such as artists.

Given to the MacDowell Association by Margaret Adams of Chicago, the half-timbered, stuccoed Adams Studio was designed by MacDowell Fellow and architect F. Tolles Chamberlin ca. 1914.
