Katarina Burin received her M.F.A. from Yale University. She is currently living and working in Berlin, Germany, exhibiting with Andreas Grimm Gallery in Munich and New York, and has had solo exhibitions in New York, Paris, Munich, and London. She has cocurated an exhibition space called the Glas Pavillon in Berlin.

New Hampshire Studio, originally named Peterborough Studio, was given to MacDowell by Mr. and Mrs. William Schofield, Mrs. H. A. Chamberlain, Mrs. Andrew Draper, and Miss Ruth Cheney.
