Katharine Kuharic is an artist who was born in South Bend, IN in 1962. She completed her B.F.A. in painting and drawing at Carnegie Mellon University in 1984 and then moved to New York City to study at the School of Visual Arts. She is a recipient of the Dean’s Scholarly Achievement Award for a Notable Year from Hamilton College and the Class of 1962 Teaching Award form Hamilton College, as well as residencies from MacDowell, the Rockefeller Foundation, Gyeonggi Creation Center, and Headlands Center for the Arts. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group shows worldwide and published in many famous art collectives and publications. Kuharic has also been a professor, lecturer, and panelist and numerous universities across the United States.
