Krista Knight is a renowned playwright who earned a B.A. from Brown University, an M.A. in performance studies from NYU, and an M.F.A. in playwriting from UC San Diego. She is a Julliard School Lila Acheson Wallace Playwrights Program Fellow, MacDowell Fellow, Shank Playwriting Fellow at the Vineyard Theatre, Vanderbilt Writer-in-Residence, the Chance Theater Resident Playwright, and winner of the Heideman Award at Actors Theatre of Louisville. She has also been in residence at La Napoule Art Foundation, Tofte Lake, The Orchard Project, Atlantic Center for the Arts, Page 73’s Summer Residency at Yale, Santa Fe Art Institute, UCROSS, and Yaddo. Knight has received numerous commissions and has written dozens of plays as well as musicals for young audiences.
