Artist, designer and entrepreneur, Laura DiMeo has had a long-standing interest in making art that is inspirational and affordable. Her subject matter often references the sky,stars, birds, nests, and eggs.
DiMeo holds a BA in Fine Arts (UC Berkeley, 1988) and an MFA in painting (1991, California College of the Arts). Throughout her education and in the years following she worked and exhibited internationally. The caliber of her work earned her artist residencies at the MacDowell and Pilchuck Glass School, and exhibitions in museums around the country. Her work is in numerous private and corporate collections. DiMeo works from her design and art studios in Lower Manhattan.

Mixter
Laura DiMeo worked in the Mixter studio.
Built in 1927–1930, the Florence Kilpatrick Mixter Studio was funded by its namesake and designed by the architect F. Winsor, Jr., who also designed MacDowell's original Savidge Library in 1925.
