Laura Mullen received her B.A. from U.C. Berkeley and her M.F.A. from the University of Iowa. The author of eight books, Mullen has received a Rona Jaffe Award and a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, among other recognitions for her work, and her writing has been widely anthologized. Her most recent collection is Complicated Grief (2015, Solid Objects Press). Mullen's poetry has been set to music by Jason Eckardt, and she has collaborated with Nathan Davis on a piece for chorus and percussion which premiered in La Jolla, California and has been performed at Notre Dame and Williams College. Recent poems have appeared in Bomb, The Nation, and Poetry. Mullen is the W. R. Kenan Chair in the Humanities at Wake Forest University,
