Lisa Shea is an American novelist and the author of Hula (1994). She was the recipient of a 1993 Whiting Award.

At MacDowell in 2005, Lisa continued work on her novel Offspring. Her essay on step-families will be included in a Simon & Schuster anthology titled My Mother Married Your Father in 2006.

Lisa Shea worked in the New Jersey studio.

The yellow clapboard New Jersey Studio, located on a grassy, sloping site, was funded by the New Jersey Federation of Women’s Clubs and built as an exact replica of Monday Music Studio (1913).
