Lucy Corin is the author of the novel The Swank Hotel (Graywolf), the story collection One Hundred Apocalypses and Other Apocalypses (McSweeney's), and two other books of fiction. She is the recipient of an American Academy of Arts and Letters Rome Prize and a NEA literature fellowship.
At MacDowell, Corin began work on a novel, her fifth work of fiction. The proposal for this book was part of her application for a Guggenheim Fellowship, which she won in Spring, 2023.

Marian MacDowell funded construction of this studio the year that the
organization was established and the first artists arrived for
