Lynn Curtis holds a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and an M.F.A. in painting and drawing from The University of Iowa, as well as a postgraduate certificate in printmaking from the Slade School of Fine Art in London, England. She has held a Fellowship at MacDowell and has exhibited her work in the U.K. and across the U.S., including shows in Dallas, Houston, and New York. She teaches the foundation-level and advanced drawing courses at Providence College and serves as internship coordinator for the Art and Art History Department, as well as assistant chair.

Lynn Curtis worked in the New Hampshire studio.

New Hampshire Studio, originally named Peterborough Studio, was given to MacDowell by Mr. and Mrs. William Schofield, Mrs. H. A. Chamberlain, Mrs. Andrew Draper, and Miss Ruth Cheney. The studio was renamed in 1943. The Gilbert Verney Foundation established an endowed maintenance fund in 1990, and a bequest in memory of MacDowell Fellow Victor Candell underwrote the…
