Painter Margery Caggiano had no formal training beyond art classes at Washington Irving High School in Manhattan. She resided for many years on eastern Long Island, NY, before relocating to Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Her paintings are in more than 250 private and public collections, including Purdue University, Roosevelt Raceway, the Chrysler Museum, the Heckscher Museum, and the New York State Museum at Albany. Twice a recipient of a MacDowell Fellowship, Caggiano was also awarded a grant in 1975 by the Creative Artists Public Service Program (CAPS), funded by the State of New York and the National Endowment for the Arts. She was formerly an adjunct associate professor of art at Southampton College on Long Island and was a painting instructor at The Academy Art Museum in Easton, MD.
