Marjorie Worthington (1900–1976) was an American author of novels and short stories. Many of her stories appeared in magazines such as Vogue, McCall's, Vanity Fair, Harper's, and Cosmopolitan. During the 1950s and 1960s, she began writing biographies, three of which were published. Her last major work was her book about her third husband, William Seabrook, which was published in 1966.

Marian MacDowell and friends originally named this studio in memory of Anna Baetz, the nurse who helped care for Edward MacDowell in the waning years of his life.
