Mark Haven has combined a career of teaching, exhibitions, and editorial photography over the last 40 years. In the U.S. he has done assignment work for publications such as The New York Times Magazine, Newsweek, New York Magazine, and Harper’s. His work has appeared in DoubleTake and Nest Magazine. In Europe he has published work in Zoom International (Italy), Zeit Magazin (Germany); Das Magazin (Switzerland), and Moda (Italy). His documentary projects include a beach resort for nuns, St. Mary’s by-the-Sea; Harper Park, a mobile home community; and The Commute, a document of an American Highway. His work is in numerous private collections, including the New York Public Library and the Brooklyn Museum of Art. He is a Professor Emeritus from the Rochester Institute of Technology and has taught photography workshops in New York City at the International Center of Photography (ICP), Italy, Dubrovnik, Croatia, and most recently, Havana, Cuba.
