Marty Greenbaum (1934-2020) is from Coney Island on the southernmost tip of Brooklyn. In 1956 he graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor's degree . The master's degree followed in 1991 at Brooklyn College . He photographed, made films and performances . Between 1962 and 1965 he took part in happenings by Allan Kaprow and Yvonne Rainer . Greenbaum had several lectureships at various universities and was a member of the Creative Artists Public Service program, and he also participated in various exhibitions with book objects.
