Mathew Broner (1924-2005) was an American painter, visual artist, and educator. Broner received his B.A. from Cranbrook Academy Art in 1948 and his M.F.A. there the following year. Broner was an adjunct instructor and faculty member at multiple institutions, including Lawrence Institute of Technology in Detroit, Syracuse University, Commonwealth Post College of Long Island University, and was a member of the art department at Manhattanville College. Broner received a First Prize award from Cranbrook Academy Art three years in a row from 1947 to 1949.
