Maya Janson is working on her second collection of poetry. Her first collection Murmur & Crush (Levellers Press, 2012) was a finalist for the Montaigne Medal. Her poetry has appeared in The New Yorker, Best American Poetry, and elsewhere. She has studied theology at Harvard Divinity School and holds an M.F.A. from Warren Wilson College. Janson has been a recipient of an artist grant from the Massachusetts Arts Council and is a lecturer in poetry at Smith College.

Maya Janson worked in the Chapman studio.
Chapman Studio was funded by Mrs. Alice Woodrough Chapman in memory of her husband, composer George Alexander Chapman. Symmetrically massed, the building is stuccoed on the exterior with a natural, unpainted cement. Its unusual half-timbered ornament consists of slender, knotty spruce poles painted a dark green color. A central, peak-roofed entrance porch appears on the north side…
