Michael Backus is a writer and a graduate of Perdue University and Columbia College. He is the author of novels The Vanishing Point and Double, as well as the chapbook Coney on the Moon. He has taught at Columbia College and Marymount Manhattan College, and currently teaches the Gotham Writer’s Workshops. His short fiction and nonfiction have been published in One Story, Okey Panky, Cleaver, Portland Review, Sycamore Review, Digging Through the Fat, Oyster River Pages, Prime Number Magazine, The Writer Magazine, and Every Writer’s Resource.
