Molly Howes revised her memoir titled The Temporary Orphan. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Boston Globe Magazine, Bellingham Review, Tampa Review, Marco Polo Arts Magazine, and UU World. She is an active member of the Grub Street writers' center.

Given to the residency by the Monday Music Club of Orange, NJ, Monday Music Studio is sited next to an enormous boulder deposited by glaciers thousands of years ago.
