Molly McNett worked on a novel; her book of short stories, One Dog Happy, was the winner of the 2008 John Simmons Award from the University of Iowa Press. She has been teaching at the Northen Illinois University since 2001.

Sorosis Studio was funded by the New York Carol Club of Sorosis. The small, masonry studio was designed by F. Winsor, Jr., the architect who also designed Savidge Library (1926) and Mixter Studio (1927).
