Nadya Aisenberg (1928-1999) was a poet, author, and feminist activist whttps://www.librarything.com/a... produced her poetry and prose in near equal parts. She taught at many schools such as Brandeis University and Tufts University. She co-founded Rowan Tree Press, a publisher, and the Cambridge Alliance of Independent Scholars.

In January of 1976, the original Sprague-Smith Studio — built in 1915–1916 and funded by music students of Mrs. Charles Sprague-Smith of the Veltin School — was destroyed by fire.
