Nathan Solis Koffman (1910-1950) was born in Philadelphia and lived there most of his life. He attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and then won a scholarship from the Barnes Foundation. He went on to appear in many exhibits and receive commissions for murals throughout Philadelphia.
