Norman Kotker (1/16/1931 – 2/24/1999) was a novelist and historian who was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts. He studied at Harvard University and in the 1960s worked as an associate editor for Horizon Magazine and Horizon Books. He later became editor of the entire book division and went on to become editor and vice president of Charles Scribner’s Sons. Kotker was the author of four novels and five books of history and earned glowing reviews in The New York Times Book Review.
