Patty Cateura is a visual artist who is from Brooklyn, lives in Brooklyn and has a studio in The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, New York City. She received a B.A. from Oberlin College, an M.F.A. from The Maryland Institute College of the Art, and attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. Cateura has been awarded painting fellowships at Yaddo, The Millay Colony, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Vermont Studio Center, and MacDowell. Her work has been shown throughout the United States including solo exhibitions at The Korn Gallery, Drew University, NJ; Robert Henry Contemporary, New York; Carol Shen Gallery, New York; The Cooler Gallery, VT; and Gregory Lind Gallery, CA. Cateura has been awarded painting grants from the New York Foundation for the Arts and The Pollock-Krasner Foundation.
