Paul Charlton worked on his new play about three damaged young people in the British care system. His play Crush toured England after winning a Fringe First Award and being nominated for the Carol Tambor Award at the 2009 Edinburgh Festival. His play Love, Sex and Cider also won a Fringe First Award in 2003.

Sorosis Studio was funded by the New York Carol Club of Sorosis. The small, masonry studio was designed by F. Winsor, Jr., the architect who also designed Savidge Library (1926) and Mixter Studio (1927).
