I recently completed my Drawn Home project, drawing every object in my apartment. 792 drawings, 13 prints, 13 sculptures. The “About the artist” entry for the catalogue reads:
I live and work in New York City. It’s my third time here.

I’m generally low-tech in my approach to making work. I use Play-Doh as mold material for the sculptures. I don’t own a cell phone. My music comes from CDs out of a boom box.
I keep buying long black winter coats at used clothing stores even after I found the right one.
I buy rugs. They lie two and three deep on top of one another.
I hate buying new things, especially shoes, so I buy the same ones over and over.
I almost never wear Hawaiian shirts.
I collect funnels, although not actively. I have 99 of them.
Sixty-three glasses are not as many as you might think.
I’m not able to draw like Bill Traylor, but I do the best I can.
Two summers ago I biked in Scotland from distillery to distillery.
I love to draw.
