Peter Zuspan, RA, AIA, is the founding principal of Bureau V, has taught architecture at Columbia University, the University of Pennsylvania, Syracuse University, and the University of Kentucky’s College of Design. Peter holds a bachelor's of arts and master of architecture from Columbia University. He is licensed to practice architecture in New York and Georgia. He is also the secretary of the Board of Directors of the nonprofit National Sawdust.

While in residence at MacDowell, Peter worked on a series of architectural drawings and texts investigating early American nuclear reactors.

Peter Zuspan worked in the Putnam studio.

The Graphics Studio (as it was originally named) was converted to its present use in 1972–1974 through a grant from the Putnam Foundation, and originally served the property as both a power house and pump house.
