Polly Lanning Sparrow created maquettes and works on paper for new work that explores conceptual painting. Her work was included in "Small Abstract Painting" at Barry Whistler Gallery (Dallas) and featured in a one-person exhibit, "Sleeper," also at Barry Whistler. She is a former artist in residence at the Chinati Foundation in Marfa, TX.

Originally a working barn perched atop the namesake hill of Hillcrest Farm, this building was converted to serve the arts in 1956.
