Quang Nguyen In 1980, Quang attended California State University, at Long Beach, as an electrical engineering major, but later found his real love: art. Quang graduated with a B.A. in industrial arts, draws in different mediums such as pencil and charcoal. He also paints in watercolor and oil on canvas. His subjects include both people and landscapes. Quang started his career as a graphic designer and later to become a successful art director. Some of companies he’s lent his creative services to are Northrop Aircraft, Fluor Corporation, Sonance In-wall Speakers, and Knox Company. Quang was also a partner with St. John Group advertising and later, the founder of Northpointe Media, where Quang applied his creative skills to the development of commercial web sites. Presently, Quang is still the acting art director for the Knox Company and painting every day.

Quang Nguyen worked in the Cheney studio.

Cheney Studio was given to MacDowell by Mrs. Benjamin P. Cheney and Mrs. Karl Kauffman. Like Barnard Studio, Cheney is a low, broadly massed bungalow. Sited on a steep westward slope, its porches are supported on wooden posts and fieldstone with lattices.
