Raymond Abbott is an American novelist. Many of his works, such as That Day in Gordon (1986), and Indian Stories (2006), are inspired by his time as a social worker on a Sioux Indian reservation. He received a Whiting award in 1985.

The Helen Coolidge Mansfield Studio was donated by graduates of the Mansfield War Service Classes for Reconstruction Aides. Helen Mansfield helped found the New York MacDowell Club.
