Richard Adams is an American composer whose work takes inspiration from the worlds of both popular and classical music. Many prominent orchestras have performed his work and he has received many awards and fellowships, including those from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, ASCAP, and the Society of Composers, Inc. He currently teaches at Western Michigan University.
