At MacDowell Richard Peaslee was working on the completion of the piano/vocal score of a musical theatre work "Moby Dick" (the libretto using only Melville's words). Recent works included the score for "Vienna Lusthaus Revisited" (off-Broadway-2002) and the music for a dance piece, "The Four Temperments" (2002) commissioned by Pilobolus.

Youngstown Studio was given to MacDowell by friends of Miss Myra McKeown in Youngstown, OH, where she promoted both art and music.
