New York-based visual artist Robert DiMatteo attended the University of Connecticut School of Fine Arts, Pratt Institute School of Painting, and Yale University School of Art. He has exhibited his work across the United States and abroad, at venues such as the Princeton Public Library, the Bridge Gallery and The Drawing Center in New York City. DiMatteo is the recipient of two New Jersey State Council on the Arts Fellowship Grants, a Print and Paper Fellowship from Rutgers University, a MacDowell Fellowship, Honorarium from The Drawing Center, and a Fischer Scholarship from Pratt Institute.

DiMatteo’s current project is to interpret the Periodic Table through painting and drawing. Inspired by Primo Levi’s book The Periodic Table, DiMatteo seeks to bring attention to concerns about the environment and the availability of finite resources. His work combines an interest in the Sciences with the interpretation of abstract art.
