Robert Gessner (1907-1968) was an American author and educator. His work consists of his books The Democratic Man (1956) and The Moving Image (1958); numerous short stories, novelettes and literary sketches; and scripts with editorial corrections.

Phi Beta

Robert Gessner worked in the Phi Beta studio.

Funded by the Phi Beta Fraternity, a national professional fraternity of music and speech founded in 1912, Phi Beta Studio was built between 1929–1931 of granite quarried on the MacDowell grounds.
