Robyn Selman received her Bachelor of Arts from George Washington University in 1980. In 1983 she finished her studies at Sarah Lawrence College with Master of Fine Arts degree.

Selman has served as a copy and text writer for a photographic publishing company in New York City since 1986. Her work is represented in anthologies, including The Best American Poetry, and Pushcart Prize. Moreover, she was a contributor to periodicals, including Kenyon Review, Nation, and Newsday.

Sorosis

Robyn Selman worked in the Sorosis studio.

Sorosis Studio was funded by the New York Carol Club of Sorosis. The small, masonry studio was designed by F. Winsor, Jr., the architect who also designed Savidge Library (1926) and Mixter Studio (1927).
