Ross Exo Adams is an architect and urban theorist. In 2017, Adams received the College Faculty Research Award from Iowa State University.
At MacDowell, he began work on a book about the spatial and political histories of the human body. Excerpts of this project would be published in e-flux as well as a forthcoming edited volume on architecture, nature, and data. His first book, Circulation and Urbanization, is currently in print.

Studio was funded by Mrs. Alice Woodrough Chapman in memory of her
husband, composer George Alexander Chapman.
Symmetrically
massed, the building is stuccoed on the exterior with a natural,
unpainted cement. Its unusual half-timbered ornament consists of
slender, knotty spruce poles painted a dark green color. A central,
peak-roofed entrance porch appears on the north side…
