Roy Kortick is a visual artist who was born in Providence, RI. He earned a B.A. in visual arts and literature at Bennington College. His work has been featured in group and solo exhibitions across the United States, as well as in Sweden, Italy, and Germany. Kortick is the recipient of fellowships and awards from MacDowell, Ucross Foundation, The Millay Colony for the Arts, and the Vermont Studio Center. His work has been published in The New York Times, Newsday, La Repubblica, New York Magazine, Art in America, and many more. He currently teaches ceramics at The Smithy in Cooperstown, NY and has also taught painting, illustration, and cartooning at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
