Rozalia Jovanovic is a former attorney. She was educated at the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia, where she was the recipient of the Felipe Di Alba Fellowship for Writers. Her most recent fiction has been published in Guernica and Esquire.com. She worked on a story collection while at MacDowell.

Funded by the Phi Beta Fraternity, a national professional fraternity of music and speech founded in 1912, Phi Beta Studio was built between 1929–1931 of granite quarried on the MacDowell grounds.
