Ruth Kessler is a poet who lived in Poland and Israel before moving to the United States. Her publications include Fire Ashes Wings and over 70 poems in journals and anthologies. She has also written two full-length poetry collections, a short fiction collection, and a children’s book. Her accolades include Individual Artist Grants from The New York State Council on the Arts, a WNY Artist-in-Residence Grant, and Yaddo, MacDowell, VCAA, Ragdale, and Saltonstall Foundation residencies. Kessler has also given numerous readings of her work, presentations about poetry translations, and creative writing courses in college and community settings. She currently lives in New York City.
