A book of Sally Fisher's poems, Good Question, was published in 2015 by Bright Hill Press. Her poems have appeared in Field, Poetry East, The Threepenny Review, Margie, Chelsea, Shenandoah, and many other journals and anthologies. She has published two books for children (the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Viking) and The Square Halo, a book about art for adults (Harry N. Abrams). She has been a resident at MacDowell on five occasions. Her commentaries have appeared on NPR's All things Considered. She has given many readings as well as workshops for adults and children.

Studios

Veltin

Sally Fisher worked in the Veltin studio.

Veltin Studio was donated by alumni of the Veltin School, a school for girls in New York with a highly respected visual arts department. As the plaque just outside the entrance attests, this studio was used by poet Edwin Arlington Robinson during most of the 24 summers he spent at MacDowell.
