Sarah McCoubrey is an American painter. Sarah McCoubrey received her M.F.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and is a professor in the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University. She is the recipient of several grants, including two New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowships in painting, two Ballinglen Arts Foundation Fellowships, a Millay Colony Milton Avery Foundation Fellowship, a MacDowell Fellowship, a National Endowment for the Arts Grant Award, and a New York State Council on the Arts Grant. She is represented by the Locks Gallery in Philadelphia.

New Hampshire Studio, originally named Peterborough Studio, was given to MacDowell by Mr. and Mrs. William Schofield, Mrs. H. A. Chamberlain, Mrs. Andrew Draper, and Miss Ruth Cheney. The studio was renamed in 1943. The Gilbert Verney Foundation established an endowed maintenance fund in 1990, and a bequest in memory of MacDowell Fellow Victor Candell underwrote the…
